Vanderlip, former racecar driver, sits in the witness chair, legs crossed, hands in lap. Frank Nance, Los Angeles Count Coroner, acts as judge. Coroner Frank Nance conducted an inquest into whether Ascot Speedway was too dangerous after the death of racer Al Gordon and mechanic W. E. Matlock. Robert K.
