From left to right, Burton Green, Miles Gray, Dr. John Lorden and Martha Woodin sit on the pool deck at El Mirador in Palm Springs. They cluster together, off-center to the right. All but Miles Gray wear street clothes and sit in folding, canvas chairs. Miles Gray appears to have just swam. He sits behind and between Burton Green and John Lordan. Behind and to the left of Burton Green, the pool's diving board extends to the left and out-of-frame. An arcade stretches around the pool deck's perimeter in the background.
