Photograph of Robert Bruce Hunter looking at Frank F. Smith as Frank holds his glasses and smokes a cigarette. They appear to be in an office, and behind them there is a large map on the wall that says in English, “Map of Los Angeles County California”. Text from newspaper caption: Frank F. Smith, right, confessed bank robber captured in Friday’s gun battle at El Monte, is identified by Robert Bruce Hunter, left, as one of the three bank robbers who last fall robbed the Santa Monica bank of which Hunter is manager. Two companions of Smith were slain in an attempted bank robbery at El Monte.
