A girl writes her name in a registration book at the annual Iowa Picnic in Lincoln Park, hosted by the Iowa Association of Southern California. The girl bends over the book, which is resting on a plank of wood. A woman looks over her shoulder and other people stand around them, some of the women wearing coats with fur collars, almost all wearing hats. Handwritten on negative: Iowa Picnic 2/29/36 Text from newspaper caption: Scenes at World's Largest Reunion as Hawkeyes in Southern California Get Together in Lincoln Park: Crowding about tables where registration books were kept, thousands signed their names and hoped to find the names of old friends and acquaintances.
