This photograph appears in a photo spread, "County Officials," Los Angeles Sunday Times, 10 Mar 1935: G3. Copy photo Ben H. Brown was public administrator of Los Angeles starting in 1934. Frank A. Nance was coroner for Los Angeles for 24 years. Upon Nance's retirement in 1945, the two offices were merged and Brown assumed both duties. Handwritten on negative sleeve: 3685. B(enjamin) H.
