While fighting extradition to England, Factor was kidnapped by Chicago gangsters and held for ransom. After the kidnapping trial, he moved to Los Angeles. He was the half brother of cosmetics founder, Max Factor. John Factor, aka Jake the Barber, stands in the open doorway of a car. He wears a long coat tied shut. He holds a sheaf of papers under his right arm, and his left hand is in his coat pocket. Possibly related to "British Jurist Gives Ruling on Factor Funds," Los Angeles Times, 01 Feb 1936.
