Barnes Circus wintered in Baldwin Park. Animals are mis-identified on the negative sleeve. These are sea lions, not seals. Four sea lions surround their unidentified trainer outdoors. He is an older man, wearing a hat and shawl-collared sweater. He holds a metal bucket in his left hand and a fish in his right hand, feeding the left-most sea lion. Text from negative sleeve: [handwritten:] 3721 - 2/19/36 [end handwritten] Trained seals and trainer of Al. G. Barnes. Circus prepars [sic] for new season. 2/19/36
