Dr. John J. Durkin and Nurse Lila Strange take care of John A. Haeseler's pet chimpanzee, who is sick with the flu, who are ordering bed rest and a hot water bottle.
A similar photograph can be found with the caption, "Physician Ministers to Sick Simian," Los Angeles Times, 14 Feb 1936: A1.
Ditto the monkey sits on a hospital bed chewing on a tongue depressor while Dr. Durkin and Nurse Strange tend to him.
