Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Frances M. Willys, common-law wife of Dr. Walter Hammond, has been convicted in his murder. Ms. Willys' claims that she drunkenly acted in self defense by beating him with the hammer. Her attorney Welch took the witness stand to testify on her behalf.
