Two men and three women are being held in custody on the grounds of accusations of 17-year-old Marie Birchfield that she and other young women had been held against her will and forced to have sex with men in a house at 1320 North Harper Street. Further investigation by officers led to arrests at 8704 1/2 Bandera Street. Photograph appears with the article, "Five Seized In Girl Case," Los Angeles Times, 07 Dec 1935: A3.
