Long, Mrs. James Broderick, Mildred Jenal, and Clara Weigel prepare for a fund raising event hosted by the Loyola University Guild. Two of the women sit at a desk and two stand. All of the women wear hats. One woman writes in a notebook. On the desk there is a telephone, a lamp, and other office accoutrements. Three portraits hang on the wall behind them, including one of Franklin D. Roosevelt. Text from negative sleeve: 4146- Loyola Guild. Mmes. Ralph C. Long, chairman of ways and means, and Mmes. James Broderick, Frank Jenal and Albert Weigel, the "Hope Chest" committee of Loyola University Guild, announcement of the owner of the chest which will be held today at the Christmas luncheon of the Guild at the University. Bing Crosby will present the chest and it will be filled with fine linens, accumulated through the summer by the women.
