This photograph is very similar to another one of the Lowery family captioned,"Clubwomen Rest From Civic Duties for Christmas Celebrations at Homes: Historic and Miniature Drama Club Features at Many Holiday Parties: Mrs. Joseph Lowery and her children, Marilyn, Joan and Patricia, operated the puppets, which they made to accompany the stories written by Mrs. Lowery, at the Cornelia Club's annual Christmas celebrations for members and their families," Los Angeles Times, 22 Dec. 1935: D6.
