They are giving a book of verse entitled, "Songs of a School-master." And why not? The author is Oliver Scott Thompson, president of the Junior College, who recently celebrated twenty years of service in Compton schools. In this photo President Thompson is receiving the congratulations of Maxine Murray, president of the Associated Women Students, and Fred Miller, president of the student body, on the publication of his book and his long record as a teacher.
