At their dining table Mr. Wells stands between his wife and Ms. Watkins, pointing his finger at something off-camera. The luncheon is at the police pistol range in Elysian Park (now the Los Angeles Police Revolver and Athletic Club).

Mr. Wells speaks on communism at an American Women, Inc. luncheon and also tells the audience about he and Mrs. Wells' journeys to Russia.
