Judge Blake holds Shirley Anne in the titular stocking as the baby girl peers from his arms. Mr. and Mrs. Ford Dere of 217 Eleventh Street, Manhattan Beach, were presented their new daughter in a large stocking by Judge Blake, thanks to the Los Angeles office of the Children's Home Finding Society of California.
