Mines Field Text from newspaper caption: As shown in the above new view, work is far advanced on the $1,000,000 airplane manufacturing plant being constructed at the Los Angeles Municipal Airport, Mines Field, for North American Aviation, Inc., an affiliate of General Motors. On a twenty-acre site at the southeast section of the field, this plant, when completed and in operation, will be one of the largest and most important of its kind in the nation. The structure fronts Imperial Highway at the south and Redondo Boulevard at the east.
