This photograph appears with the headline, "Here's Sunkist Building Shown Nearing Completion," 15 Sep 1935: 15. Text from newspaper caption: Adding materially to the architectural development of the downtown district and destined to take its place as one of the Southland’s most important business structures, the above shown Sunkist Building being constructed by California fruit Growers’ Exchange, is nearing completion on a site at the north side of Fifth street, opposite the Los Angeles Public Library. Land and structure represent approximately a total investment of $482,000. With many prominent representatives of the citrus industry present, the cornerstone of the structure was placed last Wednesday. The above view shows how significantly the new structure adds to the upbuilding of the area in which it is situated. In the right background is shows a view of the Southern California Edison Building, one of the largest and more beautiful in California.
