Mrs. Quinn deliverd a testimony against former convict and tenant of her home at 9122 South Hoover Street Edward Freeman, who frequently threatened her and is said to be the owner of the illegal firearms, planning to smuggle them to inmates of Folsom State Prison. Photograph appears with the article, "Ex-Convict Tied to Guns," Los Angeles Times, 13 Mar 1936: 7. Behind the witness stand Mrs. Quinn extracts the guns from the container that was found in her backyard. Text from newspaper caption: Mrs. Eleanor Quinn displaying guns said to have been found buried in her back yard and which she said were to be sold to convicts for a Folsom Prison break.
