Russian-born artisan Doris Cliff is traveling to countries such as Japan, China, Burma and Afghanistan to gather the jewels that she uses to make her wares.
Doris uses a tool in each hand to work on a cuff with other tools and pieces of jewelry surrounding her.

Text from newspaper caption: Mrs. Doris Cliff, woman jeweler, who works only with antique metals and gems, shown fashioning a filigree bracelet. She leaves this month to search the Orient for rare lapis lazuli.
