Westlake Park was renamed MacArthur Park in 1942.
Two boys and a man observe the seal pool at MacArthur (Westlake) Park. Both boys have climbed up on the barrier which surrounds the pool. Both wear shorts and hats. The man wears a hat. One seal is on the edge of the pool while the other is mostly submerged under water. People are visible in the background walking on the sand by the lake. The photograph was taken through the wire mesh that surrounds the pool and is visible at the foreground.
