Refugees from the San Francisco Earthquake and Fire arrive at the Southern Pacific Railroad Arcade Depot. There is a long table that may be covered with supplies. Various people walk around. Four men sit on top of a roof in the background.
Text from negative sleeve: 14. Los Angeles Arcade depot April 1906. Refugees are coming into Los Angeles at the depot from San Francisco fire. The tall policeman with his hand on another's shoulder is Bert Smith, called "Gus". He was a Knight Templar and died about 1939 at an advanced age. At the time of the San Francisco fire he was stationed at or near the Arcade depot.
