Mertie West was H. H. West's wife. Josie Shaw and Forrest Whitaker were her brother and sister, and William Shaw and Agnes Whitaker were their spouses. Folger Athearn Jr. (Jerry) was Agnes and Forrest's grandson.
Extended family of H. H. West pose together. They stand in front of bushes that appear to be in between two houses. Houses are visible on either side of the photograph. William Shaw looks off to the right of the photograph. Jerry Athearn's full name is Folger Athearn Jr. and he stands at the front of the group wearing overalls.
