Mertie West was H. H. West's wife. Forrest Whitaker was Mertie's brother, and Agnes Whitaker was his wife. The kitchen is covered with an awning. There is a table surrounded by chairs, along with a counter that is lined with canned foods and topped with various kitchen supplies. There is a large log in the foreground.
