Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Toms place is an unincorporated community in Mono County on Rock Creek, named after the resort "Tom's Place." Mertie West, Agnes Whitaker, and Forrest Whitaker sit at a campsite at Tom's Place. They sit under an awning propped up by sticks. There are tables covered with supplies. Forrest Whitaker appears to be smoking a pipe. There are trees behind them. Mertie West was H. H. West's wife. Forrest Whitaker was her brother and Agnes was Forrest's wife.
