Mertie West was H. H. West's wife. Josie Shaw was her sister and William Shaw was Josie's husband. Agnes Whitaker was Mertie's sister-in-law.
H. H. West's family and friends camping at Twin Lakes. A man on the right is shaving. Other people are walking and standing throughout the campsite. There is a light streak across the bottom of the negative.
Text from negative sleeve: 142. Twin Lakes, Bridgeport, Calif. August 1929. [Handwritten: 1929.] See Nos. 139, 140 and 141. The lower Twin Lakes taken at the Camp of the Dirty Dish Towel looking down on the camp we took by the lake when the rest of the crowd came in. An ice house at the left. The new camp. Abraham Whitaker at left. The new camp. Not very good. Shows some one shaving. Will Shaw, Agnes Whitaker, Mertie West, Wes Witherby, Zetta Witherby, Josie Shaw. 3 negatives.
