Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Agnes Whitaker, Mertie West, and Forrest Whitaker pose as Romayne Shaw puts water in his car and H. H. West Jr. climbs on the car. All five people wear hats and the three who are posing have their hands on their hips. There are three cars lined up. There is luggage attached to the cars. There appears to be another child in Romayne Shaw's car. There are trees and mountains in the background. Mertie West was H. H. West's wife. Forrest Whitaker was Mertie's brother, and Agnes Whitaker was Forrest's wife. Romayne Shaw was Forrest and Mertie's nephew. Text from negative sleeve: 143. Tuolumne Meadows, 1929.
