Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Frances Cline, Frances West and Elizabeth West were about 8, 6 and 9 years old, respectively, in 1912. They look older than that in this photograph. Photograph, from left to right, of Frances Cline, Frances West and Elizabeth West wading in up to knee-deep water in Big Tujunga Creek. They stand in a circle at center and gaze down at something contained within a piece of cloth which is being held by Frances Cline and Elizabeth West. Frances Cline wears a white hat, dark bloomers and a plaid-printed dress. Frances West is partially obscured as she stands behind Elizabeth West on the right. Elizabeth wears a white blouse and white shorts. Rocks line the creek's bank on a diagonal from the upper left to the lower right. Text from negative sleeve: 200. Big Tejunga [sic], Calif. 1912.
