Photograph of J. O. Hewitt, of Tannehill Lodge #52 in Dallas, Texas takes a photograph at the Winged Figures of the Republic on the Nevada side of the Boulder (now Hoover) Dam. Mr. Hewitt stands at left in profile and faces towards the right as he holds a camera near his face. An unknown woman stands in the background at right with a purse clutched under her arm and her hands clasped in front of her as she looks back towards Mr. Hewitt. The floor of the monument is visible in the foreground and a rocky cliffside occupies the background.
