Photograph, from left to right, of Ora Prickett and Mertie Whitaker (later West) sitting in the sand in front of the North Beach bathhouse in Santa Monica. Ora Prickett wears a derby hat. He rests his hands on his legs that extend outward and turns his head to the right. Mertie wears a boater hat. She rests her hands in her lap as she looks to the camera. Behind them, a ranch-type wooden building extends from the left to the right. It has a railing, three semi-circular, spoked decorative elements on the side of the building, a pitched, corrugated roof and a large dormer at top with seven windows.
