Annually, the Rubber Men's Picnic was organized by leaders in the rubber industry for tire and automotive accessory dealers in the automobile industry.
H. H. West stands in the center of the photograph, smoking a cigar, and in his right hand, holds up a large fish he caught. He is wearing a fedora and long jacket. He stands on barren ground that overlooks the ocean behind him. Wooden framing hovers above him and additional framing stands on the right. On the ground, a box with only "R" and "YMI" visible rests behind him. A small boat floats in the water behind him on the left.
