Photograph of George Thomas of Pomona standing next to nine fish that hang on a wooden beam outside a shack on Catalina Island. He stands left-of-center with his head turned towards the left. One hand appears to rest on his hip and the other holds on to a stick. He wears an ascot hat and a vest. To the right and hovering slightly above him, nine dead fish hang in a row on a wooden beam. Wooden beams and framing extend to the right towards a small shack with a storage box affixed to the side of the building. The ocean is in the background.
Annually, the Rubber Men's Picnic was organized by leaders in the rubber industry for tire and automotive accessory dealers in the automobile industry.
