Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph, from left to right, of Guy Mansberger, Franz O. Nelson and Carl Salbach posing for a photograph while they clean ducks after a shoot. Guy stands at left with ducks tethered to a strap hanging off one shoulder and a bag hanging off of the other as he looks to the camera. F. O. is poised in a low crouched position with his elbows resting on his knees; he looks to camera. At right, Carl kneels over a row of ducks. One knee is down the the ground and the other is propped up. His hands reach down to the ducks beneath him; his head is turned towards the ground. In the background, a few wooden crates sit cluttered behind Guy Mansberger and further to the left, behind him, there stands a structure. Text from negative sleeve: 299. Cazadores Gun Club. Thanksgiving Day 1912. See No.298. Lots of ducks and we had a fine shoot. Left to right: Keeper Guy Mansberger, F.O.Nelson, Carl Salsbach[sic]. Cleaning the ducks after the shoot.
