Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Carl Salberg poses for a photograph with a gun slung over one shoulder and several dead ducks tethered to a strap hang over the other shoulder. He is turned in partial profile to the left and gazes off in that direction. He dons a hat, glasses, a handkerchief tied about the neck, a button-down shirt, a glove on one hand and boots. The barrel of the gun points behind him. At his feet, a watering hose lies on ground. He stands in front of a shack with a small porch behind him on the right. Carl casts a shadow that is oriented at an angle to the left. His reflection is visible in the window behind him and to his left. In the distance on the right, a couple more small huts are visible. Text from negative sleeve: 300. Cazadores Gun Club. Thanksgiving Day 1912. See Nos.298 and 299. Two photos of Carl Salsbach[sic]. 2 negatives.
