Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Dr. George E. Cox poses for a photograph while holding onto a bundle of dead ducks hanging from each hand. He stands left-of-center and looks to the camera; he wears a long coat and bowler hat. Both arms are curled as both hands grip onto straps from which several ducks hang. Directly behind him, a narrow, wooden plank extends horizontally across the image. A couple of pipes extend from the plank on the right; one towards the camera and one away towards the center of the image. Further behind him a house stands on the right and a hut stands on the left. Text from negative sleeve: 308. Cazadores Gun Club. About 1912. Dr George Cox. Now deceases - 1942. Was a dentist, and was doing some work on my teeth. Wanted a duck shoot and I took him down one day as a guest. The house at the rear right is the Sunset Gun Club house, as it was in those days.
