H. H. West, his wife, and daughters sit in a tree in Chatsworth Park (now called Chatsworth). Both girls wear white outfits and dark tights. Mrs. West hugs Elizabeth West to her. H. H. West wears a suit and holds a cigar. There are initials carved into the tree.
Based on other photographs, the adults in this image appear to be H. H. West and his first wife, Mary Adelbert Teel West Shepard.
Though the negative sleeve dates this photograph as about 1910, West's daughters appear to be older than four and seven, as they would have been in 1910, so the date has been estimated to be circa 1915.
