Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Mrs. H. H. West (Mary Adelbert Teel West Shepard) was H. H. West's first wife and the mother of Elizabeth and Frances West. Guy West was H. H. West's brother. H. H. West's family has a picnic in Chatsworth Park (now called Chatsworth). They sit under a tree with blankets spread underneath them. There is a dog at the center of the photograph and two cars parked nearby. There are trees and mountains in the background. There are light streaks at the bottom of the negative.
