To his left, a small portable stove with a stove pipe sits balanced atop rocks. His upper body is bent over the stove. His left arm is bent with the back of his hand resting on his hip. With this right hand, he holds a (fork?) to lift a fish from the pan sitting atop the stove. To the left of him, pans and buckets sit on rocks and shelves. In the background at right, a tented dining area is set up. A car is parked on the far right and a large piece of canvas stretches over the car towards Edward. The tent is additionally supported by ropes and long sticks functioning as posts. Beneath the tent and in front of the car, a man sips from a cup while sitting at a table.
