Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. H. H. West stands next to the front of a car and poses with a deer hide and antlers from a deer he shot while hunting. The deer's hide hangs over the grille of the car. To the right, H. H. stands and holds the deer antlers in both hands. The car is parked on a road. Another car (partial view) is on the far left. Text from negative sleeve: 417. Division Creel[sic], 1916. Deer hunt. Two pictures of H.H.West and the hide of the deer I killed. The head of this deer was brot[sic] home and I had it mounted and now hangs in our hall. (1942) 2 negatives.
