Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of 6 people standing in close quarters and posing for a photograph while sightseeing around New York City. A woman in front on the left blocks the man behind her. The man on the far right grins with a cigar in his mouth. Some of the group hold envelopes and paper. Large structural beams surround them; one at left and one behind them at center. Two lights are attached to the post at center and point upwards. Text from negative sleeve: 449. East. New York. 1917. Was at the Automotive Accessories Jobbers Convention. After a meeting one day some of us (some had their wives along) went down to the Battery and famed old Brooklyn Bridge, where these pictures were taken. Do not recognize a singke[sic] one of them now, but recall that one fellow was the owner of the Milwaukee Auto Bumper factory, and had a nice look young lady with him. 4 negatives
