Two woman walk towards the mansion with their backs to the camera on the right. A large tree stands next to them on the left. Directly behind the tree, the main house stands. The eastern façade and south porch are visible. To the left of the south porch, a curved colonnade and the south wing stand. Other small buildings stand to the left of the south wing. Text from negative sleeve: 455. East. Mt Vernon - Washington. 1914. Think this picture was taken in Alexandria as we passed thru in a street car. 3 views of the home of George Washington. 2 views of the grounds looking toward the Potomac River. 6 negatives.
