Text from negative sleeve: 475. Fresno, Calif. 1901. Mertie Whitaker and Lelia Gillan went to Fresno for some purpose, and I went up there while they were there and took the pictures in this and following envelopes: I got a rig at the livery stable and took Mertie and Lelia out for a ride. Two pictures of the rig and the girls. 2 negatives.
Photograph, from front to back, of Lelia Gillan and Mertie Whitaker riding in a horse-drawn carriage past a three-story round tower in Fresno. They are at a crossroads and the horse is stopped. The horse and the carriage face left. Behind them, a tower covered in ivy stands.
