Mertie Whitaker became H. H. West's second wife in the 1920's.
Mertie Whitaker with a group of people on a boat. The men wear hats. Mertie and a couple of the other women hold hats on their laps. The man at Mertie's left holds what may be a camera case.
Text from negative sleeve: 476. Fresno, Calif. 1901. We went out on some sort of a picnic. Seems to me there was a lake or river and we went on a boat. In the rear is Mertie Whitaker. 2 pictures. Two group pictures. In the group of 7 Mertie Whitaker is third from right. 4 negatives.
