Photograph of a man flinging himself onto the back of a donkey as two others watch in the barnyard at Captain C. E. (Cameron Erskine) Thom's ranch in Glendale. The donkey is viewed from the side and faces left. A man flings his body, torso facing downward, onto the donkey's back. He wraps one arm around the donkey's body. His upper body is on the animal and his legs hang off. Another man stands behind the donkey's head and holds onto the bridle's reins. A third man stands in the center of the barnyard pen. He faces center and watches the scene. A few horses stand at the far fence of the barnyard. A barn (partial view) and small stable stand in the background at right.
