Description

(Cameron Erskine) Thom's ranch in Glendale. The tree stands at left and Will kneels, with one knee to the ground, to the right of it. He cradles a bunch of grapefruit in one arm and holds the barrel of a gun in the other. The gun is oriented upwards with the butt of the gun resting on the ground. Will looks at the bunch of grapefruit he cradles. Trees dot the background and a mountain rises in the distance. Text from negative sleeve: 491. Glendale, Calif. Capt Thom's Ranch. 1898.
