Drum majorette, members of a marching band, and spectators stand in front of Van's Malt Shop. The drum majorette at the center of the image wears a large, high hat and holds a baton. The spectators stand on the sidewalk. A bicycle leans on the curb. The signs on the storefront read, "Van's Malt Shop Doug.6761" and "Van's Ice Cream made and sold here. 'The Very Best' Knudsens." There are also Coca-Cola signs in the windows.
Text from negative sleeve: 527. Glendale, Calif. Decoration Day Parade. May 30, 1937, forming on Glendale Blvd at the school house near Chevy Chase. The Drum Majorettes. One is, I think, Molly Johnston, out in front of the soldiers, 2 negatives.
