View of one of two lakes in the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains near Gardner Creek where H. H. West and his friends camped and fished.
Text from negative sleeve: Gardner Creek trip, about 1919. Couple of the little lakes near our new camp. No fish in either of them. Swain brought up a few golden trout alive from Gardner Creek and put in the lowest lake. May be fish in it now. 2 negatives. Breaking camp to go home. Velzy with back to camera. Staynow in rear. Think other fellow is Robinson, the packer, who came in to get us out. 3 negatives.
