Photograph, from left to right, of Pete Flannery and a man named Malcolm, both dressed in suits and standing on the beach in Hermosa Beach at a picnic held for employees of the Industrial Supply Company. The man named Malcolm stands rightmost at center and looks to the camera. Pete Flannery stands at left and looks out-of-frame to the left. He holds a child (partial view) that is mostly out-of-frame. Behind Malcolm, a sunbather lies in the sand face down and beachgoers sit beneath an umbrella. The pier and the Strand are barely visible in the background at right and left, respectively.
