Emma Manker stands in an outdoor swimming pool known as Lewis Lake. She wears a dark bathing suit. There are other women in the background, standing at the edge of the water. One woman holds a parasol. There is a fence surrounding part of the water and trees beyond it.
Text from negative sleeve: 636. East. Red Oak, Iowa. Meads. Lewis Lake, September 1900. See Nos. 634 and 635. Emma Manker in bathing suit in the pool, or Lewis Lake as it was called. Emma Manker in a boat on the Nishabotany [sic] river. Think it is India [sic] Stevens and Maggie Burris in the other boat. Will Mead decorating Emma Manker's hat. 3 negatives.
