Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. A slightly out-of-focus photograph of the trailer built by H. H. West for Mrs. Noe's return trip to Phoenix as it sits on the grounds of the I.O.F. (Independent Order of Foresters) Sanatorium in Lopez Canyon. The two-wheeled trailer is viewed from the front and side at an angle. A license plate hangs from the front left of the trailer. The emblem for the Independent Order of Foresters is attached to the front of the trailer and a sign affixed to a picket post on the right side of the trailer reads, "THROUGH TRAILER FOR PHOENIX." A car (partial view) sits in the near distance at left. A sign that reads, "ROAD CLOSED," lies atop a pile of debris behind the trailer. In the background, cars sit parked under a tree and structures stand at right and center, respectively. Text from negative sleeve: 646. Lopez Canyon, I.O.F.Sanitarium. March 12, 1936. Mrs Noe, one of the patients, is returning to her home in Phoenix. I make her a trailer to take her things. The I.O.F.trailer with sign "Phoenix Special." 2 films. Mrs Noe and the trailer. 2 films.
