Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. A very blurry photograph of the trailer H. H. West built for Mrs. Noe, a patient at the Independent Order of Foresters Sanatorium in Lopez Canyon, for her return trip home to Phoenix. It stands in partial view, left-of-center, and facing towards the camera. A license plate hangs from the bottom of the trailer on the left, the emblem for the I. O. F. is attached to the front and a sign tacked to a picket post stands on the right of the rig. The sign reads, "THROUGH TRAILER FOR PHOENIX." A car is parked behind the trailer at center. Text from negative sleeve: 646. Lopez Canyon, I.O.F.Sanitarium. March 12, 1936. Mrs Noe, one of the patients, is returning to her home in Phoenix. I make her a trailer to take her things. The I.O.F.trailer with sign "Phoenix Special." 2 films. Mrs Noe and the trailer. 2 films. At left Louie Kai. In trailer in front Mrs Noe. Behind her, Mrs Hunter.
